Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AKlyx school management platform and website at https://aklyx.com (the "Service"), operated by AKlyx ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a school, you represent that you are authorised to bind that school to these Terms.

2. The Service

AKlyx provides cloud-based tools for managing admissions, student records, fee collection, receipts, concessions, promotions, transfer certificates and attendance. We may add, change or remove features over time to improve the Service.

3. Free trial & fees

New schools may start with a one (1) month free trial with access to features, with no credit card required to begin. After the trial, continued use requires an active subscription at the price agreed with your school. Fees, billing cycle and any applicable taxes will be communicated to you before you are charged. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals.

4. Accounts & security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep it up to date, and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We use email-based authentication (including one-time passwords) to help secure accounts.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation;
• Upload data you do not have the right to use, or infringe the rights of others;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited bulk communications.

6. Data ownership & privacy

Your school retains ownership of the data it enters into the Service. We process that data to provide the Service and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. As stated there, email addresses are used solely for operational authentication, registration updates and critical academic notifications, and we never share, rent or sell recipient lists to third-party marketing agencies.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos and content (excluding data you provide), is owned by AKlyx and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription, subject to these Terms.

8. Availability & changes

We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but it is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may perform maintenance, and we may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached or to protect the Service and its users. On termination, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AKlyx will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
